Tom Manos
I will proclaim the poetry of stars
and speak more on "The Translation of Light"**
although this makes them laugh.
I will myself drink deep
of glowing inspiration,
although this makes me weep.
Perhaps a brighter way lies there
when all dark clouds have lifted from my mind;
for now I stumble blind.
Shipwrecked as on a coral island beach
I search for rescue and release,
but when I hear the luminous ocean sounds
I can find peace.
Dissolving dark oppressive chains at night
the force of dreams propels an inward flight;
the eyes turned inward, inward turns the sight.
Therein the laws that govern galaxies and stars
present them selves for my review,
behind the eyelid curtain of the night,
with the chamber of another light.
